Camera Critters

Camera Critters was Misty's great idea.

This Large Tortoiseshell butterfly kept fluttering ahead as I walked with my dog. I finally managed to take this photo using my camera-phone at arm's length while being pulled hard in the opposite direction - I'm not allowed to pay attention to any other critter while dog-walking!

Visit the Camera Critters page for a load of links to lovely critters.
Enjoy your Sunday.

You tell me that Wiki says it is facing extinction in Britain - find that hard to believe.

Very nice butterfly image. I love those butterflies. Although they tend to be rather evasive of the camera.

Great capture, even bettter for the circumstances. I hang arpund Buddleia bushes as they are ususally awash wth bitterflies this time of year. they really are on the decrease.

I've not seen many butterflies this year & when I do they flutter away as soon as I reach for my camera, so well done - it's a lovely photo.

Good capture .. Hard enough to get a butterfly at the best of times - I can imagine trying to do it with a leashed dog in one hand and the camera in the other! lol

Thanks for visiting my CCs

Lovely photo of a lovely butterfly. One of my favorites, and I never can capture the image very well. I'm so glad it worked out for you with the camera phone, in spite of your dogs, uh, behavior. It is such a lovely butterfly.
