The Weekend in Black and White

The Peace Bridge, Derry (or Londonderry if you prefer.)

Due to a delayed flight daughter and I landed too late at the City of Derry Airport to make it home that night. We stayed in a local hotel, and I took some photos next day. I love the curves of this bridge, and the wonderful shapes.

KnitNation, London, July 22011.

It's taken me a long time to get round to posting the results of my London visit last July.
My daughters briefly visited KnitNation the previous year, and they were determined to manage the full weekend this year.
They were also determined that I should go with them.
They saved and planned and saved - and off to London I went for the first holiday since my eldest was born (in 1978!)

I loved the whole event.

The market opened at lunchtime on the Saturday. Oh, the wonderful colours and yarns! The money I'd brought soon ran out, but I had a lot to show for it as you can see.

I bought the Boye NeedleMaster set (at the bottom of the picture) greatly reduced, from a lady from France who didn't get on with it.

This is a space-saving swift, folded.

Here it is opened.

And here it is, very helpfully holding a skein of wool for me to wind.
Life is so much easier now!

Did I mention that I enjoyed my holiday?

The Weekend in Black and White

Shower Flower.

I bought this pretty little plastic item for the shower (no, the background is NOT my shower!)
It's meant to catch hair and stop it clogging the drain.
It works!

Pedal Bin.

I took the bucket out of my kitchen bin, and this is what I saw.
