A Dragon Award

I have been given a most prestigious award.

The great and powerful Fandango has passed this on to me, and it has cheered me up a lot!

As ever, the award comes with rules.

1. As a dedication for those who love blogging and love to encourage friendships through blogging.

2. To seek the reasons why we all love blogging.

3. Put the award in one post as soon as you receive it.
(I'm a wee bit late, but I hope I'll be forgiven.)

4. Don’t forget to mention the person who gives you the award.
(Done that!)

5. Answer the award’s question by writing the reason why you love blogging.
Blogging has brought me many friends.

6. Tag and distribute the award to as many people as you like.
I'm sending this to Dilly, as she is a dragon princess.

7. Don’t forget to notify the award receivers and put their links in your post.
(Done)

Awards

I've been honoured with more awards!

This lemonade stall came from Jientje.
If life gives you lemons - make lemonade!

And this came from Debbie.

They are both such fun, and such delightful things to receive.

I know I should pass them on to more friends by name, but how do I choose just a few? It's not very long since I did that before, and I found it so hard.
So this time I'm passing these on to all of you, all my lovely friends who keep visiting me even when I don't return the visit.
I love you all, so these awards are for all of you!

Friendship

My dear friend Barbara has passed this lovely friendship award on to me.
I've mentioned before how much I enjoy the friendships I've made through blogging, and this award celebrates those friendships.

It comes with the following instructions:

These blogs are exceedingly charming. These kind bloggers aim to find and be friends. They are not interested in self-aggrandizement. Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated. Please give more attention to these writers. Deliver this award to eight bloggers who must choose eight more and include this cleverly-written text into the body of their award.

I can certainly go along with that!
My difficulty is to restrict the recipients to eight.
It's made a little easier (in some ways) by the fact that Barbara and I share some friends, so I really need to take them out of the reckoning.

And then I discover that I've taken too long to publish my list. Another dear friend has beaten me to it and given me the award a second time. I'm truly honoured to have so many great friends.
Thank you so much for those kind words, Seev, even if you did take yourself and Kate out of the running!

I'm keeping my list to eight, just the same, and here they are:
Damama - loving, and with a heart as big as the world
Liz - amusing, thoughtful, caring, Welsh
Daryl - such a sense of humour!
Poopsie Blue - photographer and dog-lover
Dr John - fellow dragon-lover and a wonderful person
Jane - glorious wildlife photos, and a good friend
Siani - another Welshwoman, always friendly
Nydia - a love, busily starting a new life.

So that's it, folks. So many more friends on my list, and I love you all.

It's fun choosing just one word as an answer! Remember to pick up the award that goes with it, because if you read this you almost certainly have a blog that I *heart*!

A New Award.

Nearly two weeks ago my lovely Brazillian friend Nydia passed this award on to me. She says I'm a Kick Ass Blogger! I'm really flattered by this, in spite of the fact I've taken nearly two weeks to acknowledge it!

According to the Rules for this award, first produced by Mamma Dawg, I must choose five people and pass it on. Now this is the part I find so hard - just five people out of all those whose blogs are on my must-read list. It's taken a lot of thought, but here are the five:

Babooshka - Ramsey Daily Photo
Daryl - Out & About in New York City
Denise - Mrs Nesbitt's Place
Jientje - Heaven in Belgium
Liz - Finding Life Hard?

All these people cheer me up, teach me, and show me beautiful things. You kick ass ladies!

Three Awards

I've been very lucky recently. Three lovely people have given me awards.

This first one was given to me by Liz. I'm really pleased that she thinks that about my blog. Now I have to pass it on to seven other people. I have such a hard time making these decisions, but here are the seven.
Blue
Crazy Cath
Damama
Helena
Nydia
Randi
Starnitesky

This handsome super-frog came from Damama. He should go to people who post the kind of comments that help you feel loved. That in itself makes me feel good - and a bit humble. This goes to the following five people, although it was very hard to decide.
Babooshka
Cherrypie
Denise
Dr John
Rosebud

This cool kitten came from Jientje. I think he speaks for himself! He goes to these five friends.
Barbara
Kate
Nessa
Siani
Suburbia

That was a lot of hard work. I hope none of you feels left out, because I love all your visits and comments.

Belated Thanks.

I've just visited my friend Barbara's blog, for the first time in over a week, and look what she had for me there!

I'm so pleased and proud, although I don't know what I've done to deserve it. Thank you so much, my friend.

Catching Up On Yesterday

Yesterday I started to write this post, but I was so tired that I made a mess of everything. So tonight I'm trying again.

This award was given me some time ago by Siani, and it's taken me until now to acknowledge it. Thank you Siani for your continuing kindness to me.
Now it's time for me to share this nice little award with some other people.

Yet More Awards!

I've been given more awards by Siani. This is award No 1.

I'm really flattered that my blog is considered (at least by Siani!) as excellent.
I'd like to pass this on to three other blogs, all different but excellent, and well worth a visit.

This award no.2 was created by Siani herself, and I feel particularly honoured to be one of the first recipients of the Cool Cat Award!

Honoured

I'm truly honoured to have been given this award a second time, this time by Seev. It's very warming to know that people feel so kindly towards me. Because of this, I want to spread the kindness. I'm passing this award on to five new friends, whose blogs I've only recently discovered but which I like very much. If you don't know them, they're worth a look.

So this award goes to:

Dirty Knees of Weeders Digest and On the Wild Side
Katney of Katney's Kaboodle
Kerri of a little piece of me
MM of Wanting to be Here
VP of Veg Plotting

And thank you so much Seeve!

Nice Matters

A bit back, Siani tagged me with the "Crazy 8s" meme, and I've been working at finishing it but finding it hard. I was in need of a break. And then Siani gave me this pretty little award.

Aaah, isn't it sweet?

I must say, it's made my day. Maybe I'll finally be able to finish that meme.

Now I must pass this on. These ladies all have interesting blogs that I love reading, so the Nice Matters Award goes to:

Barbara of Home in France
Liz of Finding Life Hard?
Welshcakes Limoncello of Sicily Scene

Thank you the enjoyment ladies.

Treasure

Way back in another lifetime - well, before Christmas anyway! - I promised to pass on my latest award. So here goes!

First, to Damama, whose treasure of a blog can always make me feel better.

Next to Jane, who gives me lovely things to look at and think about.

And lastly (but far from least!) Pam, whose courage and determination are way out of sight.

Thanks again to Siani for passing it on to me.

Yet Another Award!

What a nice surprise to start the morning! The friendliest Apprentice Curmudgeon I know has sent me another award, and this one's a treasure!

Thanks Siani, it's lovely! And thanks to the originator as well, the bouncy Hootin'-Anni.

I'll be back later to pass this on - just need to take the ancient old dog for a walk before she decides I don't love her any more!

Christmas Spirit.

Thanks Siani, that code worked fine!

Here it is then folks, the Christmas Spirit Award. Very pretty, and a lovely thought. Much too pretty to keep to myself. So if any of you want to share some Christmas Spirit, you're welcome to collect it here. The code is in Siani's comment on the Bodacious post.

Happy Christmas (or whatever it is you celebrate at this time) to you all.

14th Dec.
Editing to apologise for the vanished award. It seems that if Christmas arrives too early it can also leave early. Either that, or my Christmas Spirit has vanished - which might be possible as the shops are demented just now!

11th Jan.
Well, what do you know? Christmas Spirit has returned without my noticing it! Do you think it's all ready for next December?

More Awards!

Siani's passed on another award. There were two actually, but I haven't yet managed to retrieve the pretty "Christmas Spirit" one. I'm not very technically educated!

I looked up 'bodacious' in WordWeb Online, and it says it means incorrigible, and unrestrained by convention or propriety.

Thanks Siani - I think!

Now, who deserves this one? Hmmm. . . . . .

Another Award!

I'm so flattered. I have another award from Siani.
What a lovely idea.

I think I'll pass this on to:

Damama T
Sarah of Farming Friends

Thank you, Siani.

A Major Award!

Siani has presented me with an award. This award is for mind-power, believe it or not.

Now doesn't that give me something to live up to?!!

Now I must pass this on.
To:
Aileni
Mardé
jmb
Welshcakes Limoncello
Barbara
Teena

All people who keep me thinking and teach me things.
