The Weekend in Black and White.

I've been meaning to share this with you for some time.

A friend gave me some knitting needles for Christmas.

Nothing unusual in that - my friends know I'm a knitting... er... knut.

But just look at the designs on the ends of the needles!

Dragon Box

Some time ago a friend sent me a lovely little trinket box with the Welsh Dragon inlaid in the lid in mother-of-pearl. The dragon's shape is just right, although he should properly be red, and he glows beautifully against the dark brown wood.

Many fine black and white photos can be found through the links on the Home Page.

The Year of the Dragon

The Weekend in Black and White

Thank you all for your kind wishes last week. The pain has eased a lot, but I'm still dopey and spend part of the day dozing in my chair. I fact, I look rather like my photo for today -

Sleepy Dragon.

They're really worth viewing.

Here be Dragons!

I found this old window on the side of The Milestone Hotel in London.

They look rather like sea serpents, but they do have small wings.
I love the way their tails entwine.

They look very fierce!

The Weekend in Black and White

I have some lovely, heavy, dragon bookends.
They sit all the time facing away from eachother.
Today I'm showing them face to face.

Come and enjoy The Weekend in Black and White.

Abc Wednesday - R for Reclining Dragon.

This week's letter is
R

I'm showing you another of my dragons - well, they do rather fill the house, and they make my most important collection!
This one is a very dozy dragon - and you can all stop saying he's like his owner!

This is meant to be the front of the ornament.
The dragon is
RECLINING
on a crescent moon, holding the favourite jewel of his treasure.

He looks very RESTFUL and RELAXED.

This is the REVERSE.
I think it's easier to see the REALLY sleepy expression on his face.

To find more R posts, visit the ABC Wednesday page, and enjoy the entries.
