This is the last week of the second round of ABC Wednesday, although I've only participated in this round.
The letter this week is
Z
which has made me think very hard.
Fortunately, as I passed a local garden, I suddenly realised what my Z would be.
Zantedeschia Aethiopia,
or Arum Lily.
The inside of the flower in the second photo.

I'm sure this will be an interesting week!

Zowwey, that's beautiful.
My zinnias didn't come up becasue I planted themso late. But I couldn't do zinnias anyway, so I worked very hard at finding a mountain reference to show. It iwll be up at midnight my time, so stop by in the morning.
What an original choice for today...good one! Yes, there are lots of interesting posts today. So far, only 2 zebras!
You put a lot of thought into this entry - and it has paid off handsomely.
I would never have known what its proper name was! Lilies are very majestic and beautiful, although my mother-in-law still won't have them in the house ('Death!!!')
And I loved your story about the washing. It must have been nightmarish. I'm amazed that no-one wanted your old boiler for a long time. I would have thought it would have been snapped up by a collector.
beautiful

I enjoyed your post about washing, I remember using a boiler for nappies when my daughter was young, before I was able to buy a washing machine. At least your old washer found a home.
