Morning Sky

Yesterday morning I took these photos from the bedroom window before finishing making the bed.
The jackdaw had a gull for company, but it flew away.

Never mind, a couple of friends dropped in, to stop him being lonely.

This was actually the best part of the day. It clouded over, and ended in rain. It was a beautiful start though.

Gosh... such pretty skies and then to have the silhouette of the birds in the foreground was the icing on the cake! Wow... I'm truly impressed!

We have a saying in UK "red sky at night - shepherd's delight, red sky in the morning - shepherd's warning". When I sit up in bed drinking my morning cup of tea I look eastwards and this time of year I watch the sun rising - I think morning skies are beautiful too.

I thought this was evening to start with.... beautiful morning. We've had some lovely sunrises in Florida but nothing as entertaining (with the birds) as this. Jane

Lovely shots - sunrise and sunset tends to be spectacular at this time of the year. Someone told me it's something to do with there being more ice crystals in the clouds - I think! I must remember to charge up my camera batteries, because I've missed so many good shots lately.

What a beautiful silhouette. I've posted a couple of pics earlier this with different posts I have written. I'm really proud of the pic of the swans.

I debated taking pictures myself - but the cats needed feeding and you know they come first.

Memories of Scottish mornings too. Very common pattern that clear sky in the morning and cloudy by ten o clock and raining by 12...

Lovely sky. Morning is my favorite time of the day. The birds seemed to be enjoying the day, as well.

What bird wouldn't want to share it's fine perch with another feathered friend to watch a splendid sunrise like that! Tops!

That sure is a beautiful sky in your photos. Did the jackdaw and gull make you notice and photograph it? If so, good for them! :)

What a lovely sky, isn't it beautiful when the clouds get this shade of color? And sweet story about the birds, you should write stories to children!
