This was taken at the same time as the photo in my earlier post. It is the top of that same wall, showing the join between two lengths of the cage wire.
Monochrome Monday is hosted by Aileni, and you can find even more entries at the dedicated Monochrome Maniacs site.
Have a good week.

Very interesting picture.
It really works well - makes a great arty image, the sort you see in Photo Galleries.
I like it - as you well know..
Great shot. Like the other one too on your odd shot post. they have these block cages here on the island and elsewhere. A quick way of building using rock and they are called gabions....
It is an arty shot. lever to use the smae subject in differing ways to create tow very different shots.
Professional.
That looks like a pretty stout cage. Makes you wonder what it took to pull it apart.
I've seen similar structures used as retaining walls on very steep grades or even vertical surfaces. I suppose it's less expensive to do it this way, though it's always looked half-finished to me.
Nice shot of the details here!
That's a lovely combination of pattern and irregularity.
I have seen a caged wall before but it's been built on a bend in a river so I assume there it's need to stop the wall being washed apart.
I like this very much!
Perfect shot of an oddity, Dragonstar! Odd balls you might expect to be caged, but odd rocks, well....?
nicely done .. I like that we can see the whole and then the close up

What a great find for both Odd Shot and Monochrome. Nice camera angles also. BJ

Hi Dragonstar,
Thank you so much for your wishes for my Blogaversary !
What I take out of this photo is the intricacy of that twisted wire.
You spotted some nice detail !
Have a nice day & see you soon ;)
I like the angle.
I have never seen a caged wall before! Interesting!
Very interesting, I like the texture :-)
This is an incredible shot! Great!
That's a nice, unusual shot. I mistook it for some kind of needlecraft when I first saw it.
Yay.. think I just found another photo challenge to participate in. Monochrome Monday looks like a lot of fun! :) Really like your photo. Thanks for sharing it. It really made me want to join in! Happy weekend! :)
