I wonder what might be hiding at the top of the stairs? Very dramatic shot. BJ
Lovely photo... I'd like to amble up those stairs and see where they go.
A reminder that we lived a very different life back then.
neat capture!
The steps do draw you in.
And, you again prove that original monochrome photo's are the best.

That's a perfect picture post card mono. It couldn't be in colour. A really timeless classic again.
Wonderful shot and makes me think back 30 years ago, wondering about the people who would have been climbing that stairway.
It looks so much like Rio's old neighbourhoods! I findit charming!
Kisses from us.
That's a beautiful shot. I want to walk up those stairs. Carver's Photoblog
Oh I like this a lot ... all the stories that those stairs could tell...

Great photo - I love photos of steps - you may have noticed on my blog as I often take photos of them.
Just the right picture to be monochrome. It has that wonderful old feeling.
I love photo's of stairs like this... always a touch of mystery! WOnderful pic's!!!
You can just feeeeeel how it would be to climb up to the top...
Great shot!
I really love this photo, it is just perfect :-)
Beautiful picture, I love streets with stairs, not to climb, but to photograph!
Liz told me she was born in Mumbles which I had never heard of before.
It's beautiful.
It hasn't changed much today! Sometimes we walk down from the hill to go to Verdi's for an ice cream treat!
