Saturday PhotoHunt - Narrow

The theme for today's PhotoHunt is Narrow. I'm late posting as I had an appointment this morning with my hairdresser. While I was in town I took some "Narrow" photos. The first one is the very narrow entrance to the straight road out of town. Although it widens, the opening is limited by the buildings on either side. It was fine in the days of donkey-carts, but ...
This second photo shows that some lorries have found this turn narrow - just look at those scrape marks! Crossing here can be difficult when large vehicles are turning!!!
This is a narrow red doorway with narrow stairs inside. My hairdresser works at the top of these stairs.
My last photo shows those same stairs from just outside the hairdresser's door - looking downwards. Narrow!

If you feel like joining the fun, visit tnchick. Happy hunting!

Excellent photo for narrow. We have a place at one of our doctor's office where cars scrape the walls too.
Have a great weekend!

I have vertigo.

That picture of the stairs gives me vertigo!!

I feel sorry for the owners of the house which seems to be suffering continuous scrapes, judging by the fresh ones and the ones that have been patched up. Perhaps time to campaign for a one way system?

Ooh, the scrapes on the concrete wall made me cringe. Can you imagine? You're minding your own business, turn and then hear a sickening CRUNCH. *shudder*

That's a fine collection of narrow pics. I was late getting mine up, too. And I'm SO behind with my blog-hopping and commenting - just playing catch-up now.

Love the scrape marks - and just remind me never to attempt those stairs if I've been on the Guinness!!

Have been updating my 2008 links and I've added you to my blogroll. Is that OK?

And thank you for the lovely comments on the candlestick photos I posted.

That staircase is scary :)

OH MY! A claustrophobic (not me) with Acrophobia (me!) would have trouble with those stairs for sure!

And I totally agree with Karen! Can't even imagine being in that building when someone scrapes by!

Another impressive photo hunt showing, my lady. TTFN!

I'd rather take the stairs than try to drive on those very narrow streets!

Those narrow stairs are quite a common sight in Singapore whereever there are shophouses :) Makes me grab hold tightly onto the railings when I've gotta walk down :P

It's a good thing you went to the hair dressers today. Lots of narrow to traverse.

That is a good depiction of narrow. I would be leery of driving down that street.

My mom is the same age as you and has 5 grown children as well, I am the oldest.

That's a scary one looking down the stairs! Are you looking all glam now?

Thank you all for your kind comments. I'm sorry to be unable to answer you all individually - there just isn't enough time in the day! Maybe I'll be more organised next weekend. I hope so.
Have a good week all of you.

Those stairs are definately narrow!
Thanks for visiting my blog today. The Mahonia in my yard is about 2 feet tall and has come up on it's own. It's been there several years so have no idea how big it will get.

I would not much like going down those narrow stairs. I'll take my narrow bridges any day.

We had a narrow entrance to our son's driveway this weekend, but since it was cut into the snowbank, bouncing off the sides was not a serious problem.
