Saturday PhotoHunt - Skinny

I have to admit I've been struggling with this week's PhotoHunt! The theme is 'skinny', and I couldn't get my head around it. It slowly came to me that I was seeing skinny things all around me. Winter trees! So here's a group of alders just down our road - even the few catkins waiting for spring look skinny.

And here's a summer picture, from last year - a small and skinny willow tree in our front garden.
That was such a warm and pleasant day - lovely to look back on in this cold weather.

To join the Hunt, click on the link above or on the Photo Hunters symbol. Happy Hunting!

I agree-it was a little bit hard to find something "skinny" from my photo collection.
Have a nice weekend.

Lovely photos of the trees. Trees do look very skinny in the winter without any foliage!

Nice, skinny pics! I'd have been lost without Nescafe for my pics this week. Have a lovely weekend!

Yes, you're right, it was a struggle for me too. But I do love your skinny alders, and the reminder of summer most welcome!

Everything seems skinny and sparse in the winter, doesn't it? Great pics!

Isn't it amazing when suddenly an idea for the hunt hits you and it's been staring you in the face all the time. Sometimes I struggle but I am determined to find something. But once I had the theme for the wrong week and when someone pointed it out to me I had to adapt it all quickly.

Nice selection Dragonstar! Without their foliage the trees do look sparse and thin. Happy weekend!

Thanks for all your lovely comments folks. Greatly appreciated!

Teena, I've no idea. I haven't been on Facebook for ages and I hadn't noticed. I'll go on when I can and see if I can put it right.

Have a good week everyone.

I have seen skinny trees like that so thick that you could not walk through. Even though one was week and could be broken with the hand, together they could not be penetrated.

I liked seeing the Winter foliage and the Summer foliage too.
