Facebook

I've had it with Facebook!
I've de-activated my account (seems there's no way to delete, how creepy is that?)
I'm sorry to any friends I've met there, but we can keep in touch here.
All my family is on Facebook, but they'll just have to contact me by what I think of as more "normal" methods - I have a mobile, I have an e-mail address, what more do they want?
Goodbye Facebook!

I joined Facebook once, for all of about five minutes, decided I didn't like it, deactivated the account and never went back. I just couldn't make much sense of it.

I agree. What is it all about... just can't understand what all the fuss is about. I don't have any friends anyway... so I'd be pretty lonely!

Hello my friend,
I got your comment on my blog. Thank you very much for telling me.
It's no problem.
We will still keep in touch through the blogs. That my number one thing to do on the net ;)

See you soon.

I've got a Facebook account but I can't see the point of it, I must say. Ive got email, blog and even MSN, which is useful for instant messages. How much more can I want or use?!

And I'm like Jane: I don't have any friends! That's why I didn't have a mobile phone for ages - because nobody phones me at home let alone when I'm out!

Hey, thanks for all of your comments on my page! I really appreciate them! As for your escape from Facebook... I have a page with them and totally get your leaving. It's a tad annoying. I have the page because I know people who do... family, etc... but I can't take it and so hardly go in and log on. I may follow your lead and abandon the Facebook ship. Seems like a more than rational response to the whole thing.

I don't mind facebook,or twitter, but that's it for me, along with my phone and email. You can always rejoin later if you wish.

I'm sure Facebook is fine if you are an adolescent. I hate being superpoked or sent some virtual gift or the other stupidities that my Facebook friends seem to think hilarious. I don't use my real name there so these are all blog acquaintances.
I know that once you join you can never get out, but you can delete things although I'm sure everything is on some supercomputer somewhere.
