Sky Watch Friday

Well, it's very nearly midsummer, and the sky shows the type of weather we're getting. You can even see some raindrops on the window (no, I wasn't mad enough to go out!)

This second photo was taken just around sunset (about 10pm) Wednesday evening. The sky was so bright that the houses look dark!
The window faces roughly south-west, and the sun would be setting behind the house roof on the far right of the picture. There's another shower on the way in from the see!

Happy Midsummer!

Happy SWF! We had the sky up there, all speckled with stars, and we used to lay on our backs and look up at them, and discuss about whether they was made or only just happened... mine's up too hope you can drop by.

"Louis" particularly likes the second image!

For Sky Watch over at San Francisco Bay Daily Photo, we have a dance between the moon and the fog at midnight.

WOW! The cloud formation in that 2nd photo is quite foreboding.

Brrr!!!!

Better weather here (Essex) but it comes and goes. So you can't really PLAN anything. 2 good sunny warm days, then one sunny but windy, then 3 days of rain, then warmer but overcast, then back to sun.

Hey ho!

:^)

Rainy days here, too. We have an extremely wet Spring and now it will go into summer.
Beautiful pictures.
My first visit to your blog and a wonderful visit I have had. Thank you. MB

It`s interesting to get weather reports from all over.
The colours on your last shot i beautiful.
We have rain in the Western part of Norway these days also.
I`m fine with that. Before the rain set in we had several weeks with good weather.
I don`t like the wind though.
It`s not good for my plants.
They are new in life. I`ve just planted them.
I hope that the sun will shine on you soon! :)

Stormy, stormy skies!
Hope you were tucked up in doors when the rain arrived.

Can't believe, it's mid Summer already - it's a worrying to think the evenings will start to draw in after tonight!!! Weep!

Have a good w/e.

Clouds and rain can make the day problematic, but when there is clearing at sunset the stage is set for beautiful pictures like yours. I chose a solar halo for my contribution. I invite you to come see. -- Margy

Nice shots, my favorite is the second one with the wonderful colors.

Your photos are beautiful, as is the idea of a storm. We rarely get them, and I love a mean looking cloud!

Rosebud said...

Your dragon background uniquely forms a shadow behind the clouds, on my computer. Now, that was very nice. The second is even more beautiful than the first...if that can be possible.

You know, the nice thing about showers is the beautiful clouds that accompany them! Nice shots and these were out your front window, right?
