Odd Shots On Monday

I stood in my kitchen, watching the birds through the window.
There was a male sparrow with two young ones.
He brought his children to a pan of water and demonstrated how to hop onto the edge to drink.
They watched him carefully, then he went away to find more food for them.
One chick had a drink and hopped down.
Then it was the turn of the second one.
He didn't seem to get the idea!
(Click on the photo to enlarge.)

Silly bird, you need to put your beak into the water!

Have a good week.

That is so wierd. What on earth is he doing. The babies are feeding in our garden too. Isn't it nice to still have the humble sparrow as a regular visitor. Lovely odd shot

Now that is definitely odd! I can't imagine how they did that. I have my odd shot up early.

Perhaps he thought he was an owl.

A great start to any week!

Hehehe - no doubt he is waiting for it to rain so the drops can fall straight into his mouth. It HAS to be a he - a she would be sensible :)

Too funny! He'll never get a drink that way. ;)

Odd that he can even take that position.
