Saturday PhotoHunt - Party

I'm sure everyone today will have happy photos of great parties, but I'm struggling.
I looked for other meanings, and I found this in WordWeb Online:

Noun: party wall paa(r)tee wol
A wall erected on the line between two properties and shared by both owners.
The picture below dates from last summer, and shows the white-painted party wall in our front garden, surmounted by what I take to be a party fence!

I checked my ancient dictionary - the 1948 edition of Chambers Twentieth Century Dictionary - and it informed me that party-coloured is (or was then!) an alternative spelling for parti-coloured, which means partly one colour, partly another, or variegated. So here is a shot, also from last summer, of party-coloured or variegated leaves in the corner of the flower bed. I can't wait for summer to come again!
This last shot shows my party-coloured back fence, waiting for the clematis to wake from hibernation.
These apparently dead twigs belong to my Clematis Montana 'Reubens', which will look beautiful once it wakes in the spring.

What a great take on the theme - I hadn't realised "parti" had an alternative spelling - so I learned something new today. Which makes today special - thank you.

Well done, well done! I so struggled with this one but party coloured didn't enter my head. Excellent interpretations. :)

I think your post has found the unique interpretation of the theme. All the kids' birthday parties are cute, but it is refreshing to see something different.

Thank you all for your kind comments. I'm full of useless information, but often short of ideas.
Bear in mind that my dictionary is old - I suspect that party-coloured may no longer be an accepted spelling ;o)

Good fences make good neighbours. If you like the neighbours a gate is good for parties, but if not, it is best to have it solid and high. Good take on party. Lovely photos.
