Odd Shots On Monday

Time for Odd shots on Monday again, hosted by Katney.
Visit her for the rules and for other participants.

This may not look like much of an Odd Shot at first glance, but look closely.

This wire cable stay runs from the top of a telephone post to the steel eye embedded on the ground. There's an eyelet provided for the cable, to prevent it wearing where it runs through the ring. Can you see it?

Yes, it's hanging loose in the ring!

Having seen this I made a point of examining the other posts in the vicinity (OK, I know I'm nosy!)
Several others were just like this. The ones that were correctly set were in the minority. Maybe it was thought they looked better like that?

Have a great Monday!

That is a bit odd and you captured it well. You have a good eye to notice this. Great OSM.

Great catch and what an education for me too!

That is odd, Dragonstar, and you have a keen eye. The little metal chaffing collar hanging loose is called a thimble and why they were randomly chosen to be used or ignored by the installing company is a puzzlement. Good odd shot!

That is odd, maybe they didn't know what they were doing.

Just so it doesn't fly up and hit somebody. Good picture.

The difference is in the details, and obviously someone is not attending to the details.
