Warm Fire

First, I want to thank everyone who commented on my kindling post yesterday.

The weather's been cold and windy - and wet! - for the last few days, which is what gave me the idea for the post.

This was the finished article, a lovely warm fire!

I have it burning again this evening.

Cosy!

I wish I had a cozy fire tonight. It's only 64 degrees and will get down into the low 40's tonight. I hate to turn on the heat, but Willie gets cold easily. Good excuse, don't you think? BJ

I envy you. We are cold but don't have a cozy fire just the furnace. It throws heat but it isn't cozy.

Yes, felt as though I was sitting in front with you sharing a cup of tea. Thanks so much for your kind words.

Here it was 33 degrees celcius today! And it's only easrly spring! We sweltered. So the picture of your cosy fire did nothing for me. However, I thought "K for Kindling' was a great idea.

Hi Dragonstar,
A very good idea; it is indeed cool ! We got home last Friday to nice sunshine and yes, chill. But alas, the temps changed Mon, bringing rain.
Tis the changing of the seasons...

Oh, so lovely, Miss Dragon... I could put my hands closer to feel the warmth. How many good conversations can be held in front of a cozy fire like this? :)

Kisses from Nydia.

That is a very nice looking wood stove! We had a fire last night, as well. So nice to take the chill off.

Living in Florida it has finally gotten cool enough in the morning that I have considered looking for a sweat shirt to wear this morning.

Wonderful!
I can hardly wait for it to be cold enough to sit in front of my fireplace with hot chocolate and a good book.
