I love libraries, especially the smell. There's no better place to relax and let the stress of everyday life melt away.
I miss libraries. Looking forward to a good rummage in one when I get home.

It's been a while since I've been in a library, but as a child when I lived in Germany, it was one of my favorite places. I love places filled with history and libraries are a wonderful place to discover things 'everywhere' while sitting completely still. :)

Dragon Days: Love the library shot. We aren't really Monochrome people but do like the challenge of focusing on form and contrast (or lack thereof), so important in monochrome.

In today's busy (and often noisy) world it is great to have libraries - somewhere to wind down and relax in quiet.
Oh, I used to love libraries! Nowadays, they've changed so much. Allowing computer games to be played and joining with schools as a resource has meant the 'quiet' aspect has been totally lost.
Quite an interesting post for Q! I don't think libraries are as quiet as they once were, do you?
