Texture is far more apparent in black and white, isn't it?

The light captures the rope very well....

That is very good - so much better in mono.

Good evening to you in Ireland :)

Nautical monochrome! Mmmm.. I can smell the ocean - and I just love it! The very best place for me to be is nearby the sea :) Great shot :)

Have a great week :) Greetings from Norway :)

Perfect B&W for the details of the weaved ropes.
Nautical stuffs make always good subjects for Monochrome.
Good week.

I missed photohunt yesterday as I was so busy, I like the light coming in from the side highlighting the ropes.

Like I always say monochrome has its own attraction.
Have a nice day.

The detail of the rope is definitely caught in mono.

Works well - makes a good odd shot too.

Great subject for a mono, the lack of color really lets you focus in on the texture and feel of it.

Whatever brought it to mind, it's a wonderful shot. Great feel and feeling to it!

I really like the way you've captured the ropes. The thicker one almost seems to have the texture of snakeskin, while the braided rope stands out really well.

Makes me again dream of far off places and a sea voyage of indeterminate length. Nice.
