Odd Shots On Monday

This is the Lobster Pot Restaurant in Burtonport.
The story goes that the owners wanted this outsize lobster fixed to the roof, but were advised against it because the strength of the wind straight off the sea would lift both lobster and roof. So now the lobster climbs the wall.

The pavement (sidewalk) here is very narrow, and the building is single-storey. The lobster takes up a lot of space!

More Odd Shots can be found on Katney's Kaboodle. There's always something worth seeing!

I bet that's given many a drunken stranger to town a nasty, late night fright. Sorry I've not visited much lately - I hardly seem to have a moment spare these days. Hope everything's well with you and yours.

It's the attack of the giant lobster!

It´s very beautifully done and it looks great on the stone wall. What is the material it´s made of?

I can just picture lobster crrying a roof sailing through the skies.

A little bearded bird told me that you're expecting the arrival of a new baby! How wonderful, Miss Dragon!! Every new life that comes is such a bless, that warms my heart! Congrats!

Kisses from us.

Hi Dragonstar,
Oooohh; how could I ever forget this if I saw it ?! I already saw a giant chicken statue in the US last year, so why not a lobster !

At last we have photographed it - after years of promising to. In this family that is Odd in itself.

No mistaking what this place does. I had no odd shot of note this week, certainly nothing that could compare with this monster shot.

Mmmm. I wonder how many could be fed from a lobster tail that size.
