Odd Shots On Monday

I showed a leaning telephone pole last Thursday, as part of another picture.
I thought it might be a good time to show more of it.
It really does lean like that. All the wires lead off from one side, like a half-strung maypole. I wouldn't want to live in the small houses below it!

For a wonderful Odd Shot, please visit our host Katney. I'm sure you'll enjoy it!

I do love your dragons and am very tempted to collect some myself.

Not an uncommon sight around here.
I am glad our lines are underground.

It is easy to fix - a bit of Photoshop and everybody is happy.

"Leaning post - what leaning post?"

That's amazing. I can't help but wonder if it's leaning from the ground or if it's just bent. Then I wonder if it's always been like that. Hmmmm....

Good choice, Dragonstar! Does have a precarious lean to it and odd that its left unattended.

It doesn't look very safe...

I think if I lived there I'd be worried too.

That pole surely carries it's fair share of the load ;-) I've often wondered why all lines aren't under ground...

I think I'd worry during a gale!

That's weird. Do all the birds sit on it sideways ?? :)

It could be the leanig tower of maypole. A oddshot too. Great choice.

It made me think of a circus tent being erected.

It would certainly bother me if I had to live under it!

Is it windy there?

I would want to live in that house either!! Never seen anything like it. Great odd shot. :)

I thought of you and this post as we drove through Oregon yestarday. In one area, beyond an embankment, were a line of poles at the same angle. I wondered why.

Wow - one big blow could mean serious trouble for lots of homes... especially the one the post might fall on. Very interesting shot, indeed.
