ABC Wednesday - C

I took a day off yesterday - no blogging! No apologies. Both my daughters arrived - at different times - and they'll be here for over a week! Blogging and visiting may be more erratic than usual.

Anyway, I'm back for ABC Wednesday, hosted by Mrs Nesbitt.

Today's letter is
C

Sticking with my fossils, at least while they last,
C
is for
CORALS

These are solitary corals rather than colonies.
The one at the top is younger, being only (!) about 100 million years old.
The lower one is 110 million years old, and has a lovely shell on the far left.

For more C posts, visit the ABC Wednesday page, or find more participants through the new Mr Linky.

Have a good Wednesday.

That first one in particular is a very fine specimen. So so old. Impossible to imagine that much time.

This old fossil thinks they are great.

Once they were alive and coloured, and now they last in your house! Amazing Nature!!!

You're forgiven for not blogging much, only for this reason! :)

Kisses, sweetie!

Interesting fossils...   This morning I'm feeling just like one -- several million years old... --Just kidding -- actually I've been out shooting the fabulous sunrise we had this morning -- maybe I'll show it soon.
Best regards, Don.,

Oh, you got my attention with this post! If you visit my blog, you will see that I am a rabid collector of sea shells, and occasionally find a lovely piece of branch coral on the beaches. Very cool representation of the letter "C"!

To be honest with you that looks like the bite mark of a prehistoric dragon but I could be wrong.

So glad to hear that your daughters have come to visit. I know how desperately disappointed you were when your daughter couldn't visit recently. Make the most of your time together - there's always time to blog when they have gone! Have a lovely time. Jane
