You are quite right - it works well in mono.
Beautiful! It feels like walking out into another world. I love the reflections.
That is a beautiful scene even if the footpath is soggy!
Wonderful post!
How lovely, it's got such a springtime feel to it.
The three darker segments on the RHS really put the rest of the image into perspective. I like it.
Makes me want to put on my boots and follow the path.
Fabulous black and white! I love the leading lines of the fence...water, water, everywhere!
Very pretty, I like all the reflections in the water. I have a feeling this is what it will look like here when all our ice melts. ~ Calico Contemplations
Lovely tones, textures and dynamic perspective.
Beautiful - and disorienting! All of the reflections are especially interesting because it is in black-and-white.

I always like strong lines in a b&w shot.
Oh the floods follow the snow!
Lots for the eye to follow here - hope there are no alligators lurking about! Good shot.
You can see what a nice path that would be....normally. Lovely capture, Dragonstar and yes, it's a natural for monochrome.
So lovely! Looks like a Steinbeck book's image. Loved it!

I nearly forgot. It's not a swan in my picture. It's a gull.

Beautiful image that does really well in b/w. Thanks for stopping by.
A beautiful scene, perfect for mono. I really like the textures of the fence and grasses but I love all the reflections.
a good choise for monochrome :)
Beautiful!!
Take care
This is a great picture, crystal clear and sharply focused. The detail in the wood fence and post, the grasses and the reflections in the water, nicely composed - the eye is led around the fence line to the far side of the frame. Very nice!
