Lovely steady hand required for this no matter how advanced the camera. Good rendering of the scale especially with the inclusion of the lichen on the top of the branch.

Very cool! Did you use a macro lense? I really need to get a macro lense, I just love the photos you can do with them....I love these sorts of shots...close up something that seems so ordinary becomes so very unordinary and quite beautiful. I do close ups best I can, but so many of them just do not come out clear. I don't know whether to blame my eyes or my lense.
