Before Christmas I slipped on some ice and pulled a tendon in my leg. Many nights were spent sleeping (if that's the right word!) downstairs in a chair. The days were spent scooting about in my computer chair. Then I was lent a pair of elbow crutches - what a difference! Now I can get about a bit more.
These are the crutches, just waiting for me to get up and walk.
Maybe I have too much imagination, but I think they have a very kind and caring look.

i love the arrangement and the shadow made the image more dramatic.
i hope you get better soon, more power to you and thank you.
They were lent through kindness and care, to make your recovery easier. I agree that they show those qualities. Get well soon!
I'm sorry you hurt yourself and hope you are on the mend. I like the lean of the crutches and the shadows, good shot. I use a cane for walking and I photographed it for a mono weekend shot some time back, but haven't put it up yet.
Wishing you all the best in 2011.
Cheers
I'm so sorry to hear about your fall. I like the shadow in this shot. I hope your recovery will be swift! Happy New year.
Lamentable your accident.
Your photo is great.
Happy new year.
You made the most from an unhappy situation. Keep your sense of humour! Love the picture.
Although a great capture in terms of b&w photography, I certainly wish you haven't had to have taken it!
My best wishes for a great New Year and please get better!
And of course, thanks again for keeping The Weekend in Black & White!
I'm sorry to read that you have hurt your leg...I hope you will be well soon...Nice picture of your "helpers"...Have a nice weekend and a happy new year...
The encircling shape of these helpers creates a sense of bonding! Great photo!
Good friends indeed.
I hope you get back on you foots soon:)
Greetings from Finland
I'm so sorry about your injury! I hope that you heal quickly and completely and will be able to use the crutches exclusively as photographic props soon! Happy New Year:)
Super photo, hope you are up and about without these soon.
Hope you get well soon! And in the meantime, like your take on your crutches. :)
those crutches are great tools. Luckily I never needed them, but my daughter did. She used them a lot when she was younger. :)
Hope you´ll be ok soon.
I'm so sorry you fell and am thinking about you. You're right: the crutches do look friendly! Happy New Year to you.
I am so sorry...I hope you will be well soon...

I WISH YOU THE VERY BEST IN 2011.

Get well soon Dragonstar
Very suggestive posture, these crutches. Locked in embrace? Save the last dance for each other? United they stand?
My dear friend, where have I been to only tonight read about it? So sorry!
(((hugs))) and much love for you.
