Last time I was in the Letterkenny Shopping Centre I saw a mobile studio taking photos of tiny children. I couldn't resist the look of this reflector.

First Daughter is visiting, and she brought a huge box of chocolates with her.

Before very long the chocolates were disappearing.

That was when we discovered that some of the holders had pretty designs in the bottom.

That made it necessary to empty the tray to find the pictures!

Less than a week ago gorse fires started in our part of Co. Donegal. The wind has been strong, and the fires spread rapidly. The Air Corps was called in to keep the fires away from houses - ours among them. We were a bit worried, but it was wonderful to see the helicopters carrying 2500 litre buckets of water from the nearby lake.

The smoke was very thick.

The helicopters came quite close, sometimes almost skimming the roofs.
We could feel fine drops of water falling from the buckets.

You may be able to see some water spray coming from the bottom of the bucket in this photo.

We are all very grateful to the Air Corps helicopter crews!

The sun was shining today, so I went out into the garden.
Oh dear!
The place was full of dandelion flowers and seed-heads!
Still, when the breeze dropped I managed a photo.
