The Weekend in Black and White

The sun was shining today, so I went out into the garden.
Oh dear!
The place was full of dandelion flowers and seed-heads!
Still, when the breeze dropped I managed a photo.

See many more black and white photos through the Home Page. It's worth a visit.

Fantastic shot. I still blow on dandelion seeds and make a wish and I love the yellow flowers. I consider them to be volunteers rather than weeds.

Isn't it amazing how the wind miraculously blows when you're trying to take a photo of a dandelion?

Great photo!

Gorgeous detail! I havn't seen any seed-heads yet where I live (Gothenburg, Sweden), but the dandelions shine with their yellow colour.

It glows. This is marvelous Dragonstar. You really nailed this one. Now I want to experiment with B&W macro photography. My F3 is loaded and ready. This wonderful image gives me the inspiration to take the next steps.

Oh, that is a simply magical shot, Dragonstar! And the kind of photo I actually think is more beautiful when rendered in black and white than the usual color! :b

There's such beauty in a macro that otherwise may escape the eye. Nice capture of this dandelion head.
