This is one of those black and white photos that makes me wonder what would happen if it were in color. I.e., as it stands, there's an air of mystery to it. Would that still be the case if it were in color, do you reckon, dragonstar? :b

Lovely, lovely, lovely. You give voice to the rocks. They speak for themselves.

What beautiful selections you made this week. They are lovely. Your rocks could easily have been photographed here in ROCKbridge County. Yes, we are a county of rock everywhere. Love the grass around them. Such a nice capture. Genie

Fine and soft light, no disturbing shadows. Still a feeling of the rough surface ... I can see the profile of a dolphins head on the right hand side of the big rock :)

I think they are dragon horns :)

Dragonstar,
I love the way these forms interact within the composition!

Hi Dragonstar

Perfect B&W texture shot! They look like an ancient stone tablet, broken and unreadable

For me, this image is about texture and the mystery of how these odd-shaped stones got here.

I believe the boat shed in my pictures is now owned by a group of people who build boats as a hobby - I feel the abandoned boats will be well cared for :)
