Whirl

Yesterday I was cutting my third son's hair - he likes it short!

He has very thick hair and three - yes three - crowns.

This is the one that swirls above his left eyebrow.

I'm not over-fond of flowers in black and white, but I had to share this one.

It's a very convoluted daffodil that blooms, every year, later than the rest and always breaks, because the head is too heavy for the stem.

It doesn't look much like a daffodil, but at least it has a lovely colour.

A seaweed, but sometimes called carragheen moss.  Traditionally used here, boiled in milk or water, as a treatment for coughs.
