Okay, you've inspired me and I like this a lot. I have a shot in the same vein, but haven't been brave enough to post it yet. I'll take the plunge next week. David/ Houston B&W
There is definitely a difference in what you see when the light is on and when it is off. I think these are totally knock-out shots. They surely grabbed my eye the minute they came up on my screen. Thanks you so much for featuring my water trough this week. I thought it was a pretty special picture considering how old it was and how many floods it has survived wedged in there by the tree. Once again, you made my day with the nasty flu. I am going to bed with a big grin on my face.
How well these new light bulbs look (and, yes, very sensible!), but also more sensual than the bulb we have been stuck with for so many years. Great notion to photograph it this way!
I got a chuckle from your comment about "sensible" photography! What can be more sensible than experimenting with lighting? I love these for the way they expose (pun intended!) the difference that light makes in a photo.

That's fun seeing the differences in what you see when the lights on and off.
Even the most mundane item becomes 'artistic' in the right hands!
Very clever! I think they are both cool, but the lighted one gets my vote.
very nice shot...;-D..
Beautiful and original!
Can't decide if I prefer off or on. Maybe off;o)

Have a nice and happy weekend****
Very creative!
One would have been just fine but the two together "on and off" makes a very interesting post.
Well done!
Creative. I like the picture below. It looks as an illustration.
Wax on, wax off... I like the second image best.
So cool!
Happy weekend.
Amazing tone differences achieved by a simple flick of the switch! Very creative!
