Monochrome Weekend

I went to the hairdresser today.
This corner is separated from the washing area by a mirrored folding screen.

WD40 is something I don't normally expect to see there!

Aileni started this theme.
Many very fine photos can be found through the Monochrome site.

I'm sure it gives the hair a lovely shine!

I like this shot and the WD40 is quite a surprise. I hope it's for machinery at the hairdresser's and not for hair.

This week's Photo Hunt theme is black. You could have played too! In any case, that's a really good monochrome photo you've got there. :)

I know why the WD40 is there but it does give rise to all manner of daft thoughts.

You are really enhancing the contrasts in an excellent way. Nice details and creative shot.

Much fun can be had with mirrors - deliberately or not. Maybe the WD40 was intended for making greasy hair?

Interesting shot. Your hair won't go rusty.

Great reflections and you must get an incredible shine in your hair with WD40... Maybe that´s the secret of the superstars perfect hairstyles! :)

Maybe some wigs don't move when they should, hence the WD40. We blokes never understand all the sprays and lotions in a women's hairdresser place.

Love the photo - the WD40 is classic!!

Shine on!!!
It was really great you brought your camera with you to the hairdresser!!

cool capture! they probably have the WD40 to take off stains from the dyes and products they use.

Beautiful B&W tones. I like the composition and the mystery of the WD40. You would be amazed at some of the things that stuff can do. It's great for removing sticky residue though not from hair spray I hope.

Kind of a timeless photo - I was transported back at least fifty years. Neat one, Dragonstar.

Great mono. I love the reflections. In Sweden we use CRC 5-56, but I've never seen it at the hairdresser!

Maybe it helps the comb get through rough hair!

This is a great shot. BTW, I went a-Googling to see what application WD40 might have in a hair salon. I found this crazy Q&A on Yahoo. I guess if you think it's a good idea to dye your hair with Kool-Aid, it would make sense to remove the color with WD-40.

beautifully composed and shot!

Perhaps I'm one of the few females that spray stuffs onto hair. WD40 sounds like what I'll spray onto my cranky hinges :P

WD 40 at the hairdressers?
Nice shot - great mono.

Is the ladies' hair so hard to deal with? LOL

Kisses and love from us, Meri.

Haha! Hope he doesn't pick up the WD40 by mistake!

WD40! haha! Is that how they get that 'just stepped 0ut of a salon' shine?

Looks much like where I get my hair done....except the WD 40. That is something not found, at least from what I have seen. Some interesting hair dressing you are having done there Dragonstar! ;)

Maybe that's what made this photo so "clear"! Happy Mother's Day!
