The Weekend in Black and White

Walking in town recently I disovered that the Bridge Inn was in the throes of renovation.

At the time I took the photos the door was still intact.

This is the Bridge Inn before the work was started.

Visit the Home Page for more black and white photos.

I like the construction shots but also good to see what it looked like before. The texture of the building is very appealing to me.

Excellent tones, with a gentle play of light and shadows you enhance the quality of the texture. Greetings.

That's some serious renovation! It's interesting to see the ancient stonework underneath, though.

Great!
I would love to explore how the stones were laid on this building.
A nice insight into the the craftsmanship and great photography with many layers and textures

Nice shots. I'd love to see a B&W conversion of the building -- a real one that gets rid of the blue paint.

I, too, like that the old stonework is visible, although I'm sure it will be temporary.

I am so glad you chose to include the building before the work began. Before, during, and after photos are always so interesting. This appears to be a pretty aside undertaking which you captured beautifully. The geometrics of those first shots are so captivating to my eye.
