The Weekend in Black and White

This is a glass paperweight that sits on our mantlepiece catching the light. It shows different patterns depending on which way it's turned.

The Weekend in Black and White

This is my father's old typewriter. I learned to type on this when I was fairly young. It once had a wooden case, but the woodworm took that many years ago.

In spite of it's weight, it's called a Remington Portable. Its type rack could be lowered to lie flat while being stored or carried.

I don't know how old it is, but it must date from the 1930s.

The Weekend in Black and White

After I'd taken the photo I posted last week Aileni rejoined me (he'd been doing some shopping while I rested my leg). We went into the café for a snack. I liked the look of these condiments on the table. They were against a waist-high glass wall, which caused all kinds of reflections!

The Weekend in Black and White

This photo was taken in the Letterkenny Shopping Centre shortly after the one I posted last week. In fact, you can just see the featured window behind the lady's head.
It was a very quiet morning!
