The Weekend in Black and White

This morning I went to my optician for an eye test. I'm glad to say that my eyes are fine and I don't need to go back for another two years.
While I was waiting I couldn't resist getting my camera out!

You'll find many more black and white photos through the Home Page.

Come and look - or better still, join us!

These are fun shots. Glad your eyes are fine. I envy you. Mine aren't terrible but I need a script change every year. Now that I'm wearing tri-focals (even though you can't really tell) it feels like another sign of aging.

A lot to choose between ;-)

These are great Dragonstar. I can't help getting the feeling that I'm being watched...even though they are just inanimate objects

Great idea and execution! The glasses are a perfect subject for a black and white photo.

It's an honor to have my photo chosen. Thank you!

LOTS of symmetry :-)

Lucky you! I need reading glasses and they are a pain with photography.

Fantastic formalised pattern and tone! Almost like an optical illusion! (I know! Bad pun!)

What a fun photo! I am due for a trip to the optometrist, last time I went, I came out with three new pair of glasses! I figure, if I have to wear glasses, I want some variety!

Fine shots, I particularly like the second image as the mirror adds a new dimension to it!

Both great shots. If I had to choose, I like the perspective of the second one.

It’s always nice to get a good report on our eyes....without them we would have a bit of trouble taking pictures. You were so clever to pull out your camera to capture the moment. So many frames for so many eyes.

Congrats for your fine eyes. I can't read without my eye glasses.

I love the second shot so much!

Here's to looking at you, kid.
In the 1st shot, the glasses seem to have little dot eyes behind them. Glad your vision is just fine. Your photo-eye is super too.

I don't think I've ever seen photos such as that, except in an optician's window, of course.
