ABC Wednesday - F.

F
is for
FULGURITE

I heard of fulgurite many years ago, but had only ever seen it in photographs. Then one day I was browsing through eBay when I saw these.
10 pieces of fulgurite from Algeria.
Now they have joined my collection!

Fulgurite is also known as lightning stone.
It is formed when lightning strikes sand and fuses it into glass tubes, which are smooth on the inside but rough and granular on the outside. These tubes can be forked, and some can be several meters in length. More information can be found here.

My specimens are small - the longest measures only about 4cm.

ABC Wednesday - E.

E
is for
EGGCUP.

This is new. I very rarely eat a boiled egg these days, but I just couldn't resist buying this. It is, after all, a dragon eggcup!

The dragons have very happy faces, don't you agree?

ABC Wednesday - D.

I'm getting later and later with these posts. This time it's because my firstborn daughter is visiting with her man, and I've spent the whole time talking.

Anyway, this week's letter is D, and for me that letter always stands for
DRAGONS.

This dragon was a present from Second Daughter a few years ago. He's the Dragonlord, he's about 7 inches tall and made of pewter by Tudor Mint. He's very heavy!

For those of you who don't like my dragons, here's another gift I was lucky enough to receive, this one from Middle Son.

Continuing with items from my Collection,
for letter C I present
CADMIUS and CHIARO.

These are two dragons from the Harmony Kingdom Treasure Jest collection.
They each have a secret compartment inside.

They have very proud expressions, and they keep their treasures very safe!
