I don't blame her. You would think the owner would paint the place to make it as nice as possible, although it does make for a very fine monochrome photo :-)

I understand her, - but you got a great b&w photo!
Happy B&W Wekend to you!

Well, at least it would be easy to change the wallpaper (if that's wall paper) or strip the paint (if that's paint) and start with something new. Then again, if it's a rental you'd think the owner would have already done that before showing it. Makes an interesting shot.

It reminds me of when my daughter was about three and the wallpaper in our house was starting to come off. I hated the wallpaper and one day I started ripping it off the wall so we could replace it. My daughter woke up from her nap and toddled into the dining room to see me ripping off the wallpaper. She started crying and it took a long time to calm her down. I think she thought her Mom was going crazy.

Great photograph, bad house, but at least the horse shoe was in the right place...

the house makes for a good photo subject but not so much as a place to live.

Thank you Dragonstar! This does look a bit crummy, perhaps best for the fixer-upper. What a disaster for
a renter! But a treat for the photographer!

Have a nice weekend:)

Yep!!! Ditto to all of the above!!! Are the property owners crazy??? Or are they expecting the renter to fix it up on their own??? Sad to see this kind of neglect...
good for your daughter to have the good sense to avoid this one!!!

Great for photos, not so much for renting.

You'd think they'd at least scrape off the old paint! At least it's not like a motel we stayed in that had painted over mold and then the pain came off, too--yech!!

I like the way you use the wall as a leading lines to let us have a peek into the room.
